Dyspnea Society’s 8th International Conference, 10–12 June 2026 in Lund

The Dyspnea Society is a leading international association for researchers and clinicians focused on the assessment and treatment of individuals experiencing breathing difficulties/dyspnea. Dyspnea is a key symptom among people with heart and lung diseases, as well as in advanced conditions such as cancer.

The Dyspnea Society serves as an important international network, supporting researchers and projects across all aspects of dyspnea. Every two years, the Society organizes an international conference to bring together leading experts to advance the field. The most recent conference was held at McGill University in Montreal in 2024.

The Dyspnea Society’s 8th International Conference will take place on 10–12 June 2026 in Lund, Sweden. The conference gathers around 100 participants from across the globe, including leading researchers and clinicians specializing in dyspnea related to heart failure, ischemic heart disease, pulmonary hypertension, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and interstitial lung diseases (ILD) such as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

The program will cover all aspects of this symptom, including underlying mechanisms, standardized measurement, clinical assessment, and evidence-based treatments aimed at alleviating breathing difficulties and improving function and quality of life.
